*Compound for the offence of continuing to carry on business after the period of registration has expired under section 12(1)(b) Registration of Business Act 1956.

Section 12(1)(b) Registration of Business Act 1956 states that:- Any person who continues to carry on any business after the period of registration has expired commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two (2) years or both.

Sorry, the business registration has been automatically terminated by SSM and cannot be renewed anymore. You will need to register a new business over the SSM counter.

No, any changes of business information cannot be done through this online portal. It has to be done over-the-counter. You may renew the SSM online first, then go to SSM counter to change the business information during your free time.

When you first registered your business, you’ve got your certificate (Borang D) and the other two pages. The other two pages are called as business info.

Certified True Copy (CTC) documents contains legally binding digital signature generated by a Licensed Authority (CA) of Malaysia. All users are protected under Malaysian Digital Signature Act 1997.

You will get the SSM documents which has been officially stamped by SSM as Certified True Copy and contains a unique QR Code for verification and ready for submission. Usually, banks or government agencies will require CTC for any submission.
